Camel milk side effects

The study found more prevalence of pathogenic bacteria in camel milk than the milk of sheep and other cattle. The report noted that in Kenya, this increased level of pathogens is associated with the increased use of camels as pets.

Another study, published in the journal Science, reported that camel milk contains the virus that causes Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS). Although no specific relationship was found between the increased risk for MERS and consumption of raw camel milk, they have cautioned against consuming milk without pasteurization.
